Jessica, that video is hysterical!!! and so perfect for this classroom... wow.. I can't stay on long meaning I can't write long because I have some Atwell reading still to do, but I wanted to check my blog and a few others while i was at it, and I am stuck with my bloglines thing. I can't figure out how to get it to look like Ray had it going in class today. He had it so everyone's blog in his feeds were on display(every new post could be read on one screen) how do I do that? grrr

Hi Jessica, I should have known you'd beat me to the punch on this one...this is a great video to illustrate what we talked about last night: writing IS changing in the cybersphere and we writing teachers much change as well. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to put this video up on the course blog as well.

Weird that you know what we talked about last night, since you weren't there. Guess you're really good at finding out those kinds of things.

Well Phil, after doing the readings for class and then not being able to make it due to circumstances I wish not to discuss here, I found myself wanting to look for more about Web 2.0 to hopefully contribute something more. I decided to look on YouTube, considering it is incredibly popular currently (it hit with such a force!). That would be where I found the first video in this post. I watched and thought it was just incredible that I couldn't resist posting it. It applied so closely to everything we have been discussing in class, reading in books/on the Web, and watching through podcasts! I was simply amazed. After watching that about 4 times and posting it, I continued and found the funny Blogging Music Video. It might not be as relevant, but we are bloggers in ENG 307, and I thought everyone might get some enjoyments out of it. I hope that helps Phil.

Excellent videos.. I love the one about writing on the web. that is soo right on with all the readings for class and what we need to be teaching kids in schools now...how to evaluate information for truth (content) instead of concentrating on form of writing... Right now, I am just trying to get my bloglines to be more user frienly so I can read everyone's posts faster. I think i got it, but still can't display numerous posts per page. just one person at a time. but at least I can read it without going to the blog unless I make a comment. thanks for the new input!

I was interested in the "Digital Art" video. It was great watching the interactive art that they were doing by touching the computer screen. Maybe with this new technology even I can be an artist.

Everyday that I look at all of this, I see how much that I have no idea about and how much that there is to learn, and yet the possibilities are endless as far as what you can do in the Digital world. I have been sheltered for so long - who would have thought that Cyberspace could be so much fun.

By the way, I think it's great that you are up to speed on what is going on in class even when you aren't able to make it. Dedication to your schooling is a good thing. I'm impressed.
